Colors range from creamy yellow to a dark brown.

CLEAR ALDER: Fine, closed grain hardwood with no distinct grain pattern. Lightweight and takes stain well.

CHERRY: Closed grain hardwood with colors ranging from white to dark brown. Natural finishes will accent these color differences.
Cherry will continue to darken with age.

HICKORY: Strong, open grained hardwood. Wild grain and color variations can be found within the same piece.
With a natural finish, hickory is almost guaranteed to be a wildly colored wood.

KNOTTY ALDER: Fine, closed grain hardwood with large, open and secure knots.
Lightweight and takes stain well. Great choice for a "rustic" look.

MAPLE: Closed grain hardwood with colors that tend to stay in the light cream colors.
Good selection for little color variation. With a natural finish, maple will tend to acquire
a yellow hue over time.

POPLAR: Fine, closed grain wood with colors from white to greenish. Mostly used for paint grade cabinets by Olympic Cabinets.

RED OAK: Wide, open grain hardwood with colors ranging from white to dark reddish browns.
In a natural finish it is common to see two pieces side by side of two different shades.

WALNUT: Moderately open grained hardwood with lots of grain character. Colors are mostly
in the dark brown range with some white to cream character streaks.
